What this policy covers
This policy explains how ListCombinator handles information when you use the public website, browser-based tools, Workflow Studio, blog, and optional commercial integrations.
The core tools are designed to process pasted text and imported files inside your browser. We do not operate an account database for the free tools.
Local processing
List inputs, imported file contents, generated output, workflow datasets, and filenames stay in your browser during normal tool and Studio use. Recipe share links contain operation settings only by default, not your dataset.
- Closing or refreshing a page clears session-only datasets.
- A one-time cross-tool transfer uses sessionStorage and expires or is deleted after use.
- Saved recipes, favorites, recent tools, and consent choices may remain in localStorage on this device.
Optional analytics
Analytics is disabled unless it is configured by the operator and you consent. When enabled, we send only allowlisted task metadata such as the tool name, a broad result-count bucket, success or error category, and action type.
- We do not send list contents, outputs, search text, recipe names, filenames, query strings, or URL fragments.
- Page views use the canonical pathname rather than the full browser URL.
- You can withdraw analytics consent at any time from Privacy settings.
Advertising and partners
Advertising is disabled by default. A configured advertising provider loads only after advertising consent. Sponsored or affiliate links are clearly labeled and use appropriate sponsored link attributes.
- We do not place ads inside input controls or before a user can complete the core task.
- External sites have their own privacy practices.
AI and external processing
The current natural-language Recipe Planner uses a deterministic parser in your browser and does not send prompts to an AI provider. If a cloud AI option is introduced, the interface will identify the provider, data sent, purpose, and retention terms before any dataset leaves the device.
Your controls
Use Privacy settings to change optional consent. You can remove saved recipes in Studio and clear site storage through your browser. Because the free tools do not require an account, we generally cannot identify or recover local data after it is cleared.
- Necessary storage: consent choice and user-requested local product state.
- Optional storage: analytics and advertising only after consent.
- Contact [email protected] for a privacy request or question.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when product capabilities or providers change. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date and, where appropriate, an in-product notice.
